Running 1:09:00 [3] 14.5 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: asics 2140 - Jens

definately the coldest run ive ever done.it was -15 when i left home with a wind chill factor that brought the apparent temperature down to a chodish -23 (according to attackpoint.org anyway). ran through the forest to the river and along the river for a bit. cold weather meant there was not many people out, which meant there was not many large unleashed german sheppards to contend with. i had icicles hanging from both my eyebrows and my nose when i got back home.

Running 52:00 [3] 10.2 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: asics 2140 - Jens

easy jog from home, pace was a bit slower tonight due to the ground being pretty slippery with a fresh coat of snow and me being rooted from the weekend

orienteering long (Petroshku Mishkas) 1:50:00 [3] 16.7 km (6:35 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

long day the same map as yesterday, also made famous by another tasmanian middle distance blunder back in 2006. two loop course - mass start. first loop was about 10.8km ended up in a group with marius and jonas (i think the other blokes went further left than us) on the long leg (number 2). i lost the guys when i screwed up in the thick stuff at 18. thought that would be the last i saw of them. but they must have screwed up somewhere as a saw them running into 26 as i was coming out screwed up number 31 and the pack recaught me. stopped for a drink at the map change. bad move. the standstill made me really cold when i started running again so i cut the second loop short 7-8-24-25 ect. fucken freezing when i got home. pretty happy with how i orienteered today, think i might be getting the hang of it

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)

orienteering (Druskinikai sprint) 24:00 [3] 5.5 km (4:22 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

night sprint on the map made famous by parto's 2006 jwoc domination. awesome session. four guys in a mass start. no controls. first one to each control site has to wait for the last guy to arrive before leaving to the next control. most 1st places on legs wins. best session of the weeknd

orienteering (petroshkus mishkas middle) 52:00 [3] 8.6 km (6:03 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

middle distance, a crisp -6 on the map made famous by murray scown and simon upphills A qualifiers and ryan smyths C final blunder back in 2006
pretty poor run.
first half of the course i had no ability to navigate as a was verging on hypothermia. decided at number 7 to run on tracks until i warmed up. was a little better in the second half but still poor. was freezing but the forest is much nicer in winter when the stinging nettles are dead.

S & C Exercises 30:00 [3]

some group exercisers with the guys, push ups, pull ups and some other stuff

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

orienteering (druskininkai mishkas) 53:00 [3] 8.4 km (6:19 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

night-o on the map made famous by the Australian A and B team defeats of new zealand in the 2006 jwoc relays. awesome map, but my head torched gave up the ghost about half way around so i just had to blindly follow the pack of guys

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
