Note
(sick)

Sick as a dog. Managed to catch the kids' bronchitis after my effort on Thursday. Man down today.

Track (Time Trial) 10:50 [5] 3.0 km (3:37 / km)
max:195 slept:4.0 shoes: Asics Cumulus 2009

Decided to give it a go despite being tired & not feeling 100%. Mike took off like a greyhound but after about 1000m he didn't open up more of a gap. My 1km splits were:
3:29
3:41
3:40
Pretty chuffed with my time. With a bit of sickness-free training I'm sure I could get close to 10mins. Lets see what happens in 2 months.

Track (Warm up & down) 20:00 [2] 2.5 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Cumulus 2009

In the last 3 nights I've only managed about 4 hours sleep each night. Both boys are now really sick with terrible coughs. My own throat has not been happy since I was sick. It still feels a bit rough & itchy. However, allergy problems mean that it could well just be pollens or something rather than being sick.

Road Run (Run) 44:30 [3] 6.5 km (6:51 / km)
ahr:144 max:156 slept:5.0 weight:66kg shoes: Asics Cumulus 2009

Did easy run to gauge my recovery. Still struggled to keep HR below 150bpm at times. Had upset stomach yesterday so that could still be lingering. Also still struggling to shake the itchy throat after being sick.
Kids are now both sick with bad coughs / croup that is going around, so not getting as much sleep as required either. Tough period!

Note
(sick)

Ate something dodgy at u2 concert last night. Eventually threw it up this morning. Felt full of ache's and pains until about lunch time. So took it easy.
