First SE with hills since August. And, yes, can tell i've done no endurance or hills for 6 months. Struggled on the climbs, and bonked at 2 hours in spite of have massive breakfast and snack just before the run. Usually, i'm used to going 3-4 hours. Wore x2 HR monitors in order to see what's going on as still not happy that HR is spiking massive numbers. And did it on both, so i'm convinced something may be going on that will explain the struggle to O2 in when i exert myself in any way. Weather was shite, Winds were blowing me everywhere and difficult to see in the sleet and hail.

Easy/hill reps (Trail) 1:40:00 [2] 6.02 mi (16:37 / mi) +485m 13:17 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Dynamic Ultra

Easy warm up, 20 mins, the 3x10' hill reps. Steady pace, felt very slow and struggled even though it was a very gentle incline. I can certainly tell, i've not been near a proper hill for a long time Calfs took some time to warm up and felt the climbs in my quads, unusually Heel was a little sore whilst warming up, however ok thereafter. Weather was sleet, rain and there was snow underfoot which made it a little slippy.

Easy/hill reps (road/trail/hills) 58:59 [2] 6.1 mi (9:40 / mi) +48m 9:26 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Adidas

30 mins easy, x8 hill repeats, followed by easy run. Reps done on tarmac path. Felt sluggish and not the best session in a while, however heel held out. Dull ache until warmed up, then didn't feel it throughout the session.

Trail Run Easy (road/trail) 34:40 [1] 4.9 mi (7:04 / mi) +20m 6:59 / mi
slept:8.2

Easy road/trail run, ran into work. Foot still had a dull ache which lasted for 10 mins then as warmed up, the aching dissappated and felt fine for the rest of the run. No after effects, really pleased

Road Run Easy (Easy road) 33:54 [1] 3.78 mi (8:58 / mi) +60m 8:33 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Adidas

Easy run. left heel not half as sore, still feeling a dull ache, however felt that it would be ok to run (definately didn't feel that I could run yesterday without making it worse) Didn't get any worse during run (thankfully). And didn't get any worse throughout the day either. Super pleased as don't think it's going to develop any further as long as I take it easy for a couple of days.
4 PM

Road Run Easy (easy plod) 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Really easy slow jog. No problem with heel barely felt a dull ache. No GPS so unsure of distance/pace, just wanted to see where i'm at with the foot .

Monday Feb 6, 2017 #

Note

it's likely that the pain is plantar fasciitis. Stretched calfs ++ this evening. Tried to keep off feet at work today. Walking is painful. All in the left heel.
6 AM

Road Run Easy (Easy run) 1:00:04 [1] 6.21 mi (9:40 / mi) +65m 9:22 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Adidas Boston Boost

Started with easy run, however within mins, heel pain returned. Kept going at a slow pace, which didn't make it any worse however didn't feel that I should do the tech exs as don't want to exacerbate it in any way. Gutted as thought it had gone away.
