Race - K42 Mallorca, alterntive course due to water in the river bed which is the usual last 10k so course changed and added another climb to bring the route to an alternative finish. Started slow and calves took ages to warm up and stop aching. Felt good by 3 and half hours, then settled into a steady and reasonable pace. Losing too much time on the climbs before hand and trying to pull it back on the descents which meant that I trashed legs sooner than could have if i'd have saved a bit for the last climb. Walked up the last climb which i was disppointed with as it was an easy, gradual climb on good path. A little dehydration towards the end as feet had started to cramp up a bit. Simply not drinking enough, as felt like there was too much fluid sloshing about in stomach. No poles used and which could have used them in a couple of places, it's not really a race that suits poles due to the technical terrain.

Easy trail run in Mallorca, group of us ran along the coastal trail with a bit of road in before heading back. Weather was pleasant, legs felt good.

Easy run with hill sprints. slight pulling in left calf. Again a little too long to get warmed up, and felt heavy legged.

Took ages to warm up, felt heavy and slow. No niggles, and once warmed up a little (after half an hour) things settled down. Otherwise all ok.

Easy run, flat path. No issues, legs feeling good, no niggles. Could have done with a couple more hours sleep, think i'm excited for weekends adventure!
