Running 46:16 [3] 4.2 mi (11:01 / mi) +76m 10:26 / mi
slept:7.5 weight:202.1lbs

Cabin John Regional Park, MD. From the Tennis Center parking lot, I took mostly the Cabin John Trail along the creek and power lines northward to the parking areas past the dog park, train, and playground, then down to the Cabin John Trail near Tuckerman Rd., back to the power lines to complete the loop, then back the way I'd come. To finish-up I took a lap around the parking lot. I moved slowly throughout this run. Part of that was just pacing but I was feeling fairly tired. too. It was a nice sunny day in the low 50s and may people were walking the trails.

Running 32:13 [3] 2.93 mi (11:00 / mi) +15m 10:49 / mi

Great Falls, MD. From the Angler's Inn parking lot, Peggy and I ran together up the Berma Rd. to the bridge where the Billygoat Trail starts, and we returned on the C&O towpath. Instead of starting at the gate like I have been doing, we started and finished at the parking lot. Going up the hill at the end, I might have tweaked my right Achilles tendon just slightly. Even though we ran at Peggy's pace and she was tired from a recent workout, I didn't feel so great during this run. It was a pretty nice day.

Orienteering (Terrain) 2:00:00 [1] 3.0 mi (40:00 / mi)

Prince William Forest, VA. From the Pine Grove area and after others completed the morning vetting, I walked around on trails and the open forest to photograph competitors for the QOC Royal Romp event.

Orienteering (Control Pickup) 2:10:00 [1] 2.5 mi (52:00 / mi)

Prince Williams Forest, VA - Control pickup after the QOC Royal Romp event. It had turned colder. Thought the snow was mostly stopped, there was occasional light rain. I wore extra clothes and managed to stay comfortable but I was slow. It took a while to untie the flags from the stands. I had to take off my gloves at each one, then work the knots undone. The area was a bit hilly and my arms sometimes got tired. A few of the stands were the heavier plastic and metal stakes.
