Running warm up/down 6:59 [3] 1.47 km (4:45 / km) +69m 3:51 / km

Warm up down to the lake and back. Achilles was fine, just felt it coming up the hill at the end.

Orienteering race 16:18 [5] *** 3.11 km (5:14 / km) +27m 5:02 / km
ahr:191 max:202 shoes: Brooks Cascadia 4

ACT Sprint Champs at Buckenderra. 2.7km course.

Felt good at the start and 1st control was easy, but then i ran past the 2nd and 3rd (10 and 15 secs lost). Pretty good through the caravan park section, but maybe hesitated slightly on a couple. Hit the next couple in the forest perfectly, which i was happy with, but then slow on the long leg around the OOB. Fine through the spectator (glad i saw it before i went out), but then the 3rd last next to the lake i was too far right and too low and lost 30 secs. Rob W started 1min behind and caught me here.

Ended up 12th (3rd Arrow) and pretty happy with that, but i could've done better. It was my best run of the carnival and got my confidence back that i can actually orienteer.

Not too much pain at all from my achiles or ankle. I was glad that i taped my ankle, as it rolled about half way around the course.
