Road Biking 4:00:00 [3]

Great sunday ride w/ the boys - Nighbor, Crooks and I left Canmore bright and early - we fought the wind all the way to Banff where we met the Jeffries bros at Sunshine turnoff. We doubled back and took the 1A West towards Lake Louise. At Castle Junction we doubled back and the only Crooks and I returned home as the rest of the crew scooted up Sunshine to catch one of the last days on the hill. Fun ride, tons of laughs...made the time fly by!

Casualty of the day: Nighbor flying down one of the hills at 70k/hr, head over the bars...I-phone slips out from his jersey pocket...oops. It hit the ground, rolled, bounced up into Crooks wheels, bounced some more...not good. $500 phone is kaput. Sorry Nighbor.

Shower, food, now off to a wedding...let's get this party started!

Road Biking 2:00:00 [3]

Testing out the new wheels...Couldn't help but to hammer every chance I got. Incredible how much of a difference 12yrs of technology changes can make in a bike.

Crazy headwing heading West, around Minnewanka, dodged a few sheeps and then to headed to Banff second exit - a good detour to witness a long weekend collison.

Last day in SS...headed back home.

Good classic ski - was super warm today, classic spring skiing. But looking forward to getting back to the home trails...

skiing 2:15:00 [2]

Great ski with the NST boys - Freshly groomed tracks on another 15cm of new snow...I'm not complaining!

Good ski test session with the Team Salomon skiers - prepared 15 pairs of skate skis this morning to let the athletes test. Everybody is psyched on the new flexes. Good news!

skiing 2:15:00 [3]

Fantastic snow at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Ski Club trails - the sun came out on the new snow and made the track a bit slow but I didn't hear too many complaints out there regardless!

Road Running 30:00 [1]

just an easy recovery spin in downtown Kelowna...

skiing (classic) 2:00:00 [2]

In winter wonderland...

The snow in Silver Star is unbelievable! It's been snowing non-stop ever since we woke up this morning. Classic was a bit of a challenge to find the right wax but good enough to burn around the 10km track a few times.

A few of the teams present include: National Ski Team, Alberta World Cup Academy, Canmore Nordic Ski Club, Rocky Mountain Racers, Sovereign Lake Ski Club and a few keen masters...In total about 100 skiers/day are lining the trails - not bad for mid-May!

Thought about going riding this afternoon in Vernon, but it's 5C and raining down in town. Still snowing like crazy up here...

skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Easy ski to wrap up the day w/ CB and MC...Despite the continuous snowfall, the trails were actually pretty good - Body felt pretty good...Rippin' skis made it almost effortless!

Road Running 35:00 [1] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Salomon XT Hawk

Drive to Silver Star, BC where over 50cms of snow has fallen over the past couple of days! Duties for the week include testing and getting feedback from Team Salomon skiers on the new boots/skis, and talking to clubs about our racing equipment programs. I'll also touch base with a few retailers in the area.

Body is feeling surprisingly good after the 12hr epic - went for an easy run upon arrival to stretch the legs. I'm happy to report that most of the big body kinks are gone!
