Interesting. I've grown used to the lap pace - dare I ask which menu you changed that in?

Mine takes splits every mile. Otherwise, I program workouts. Write them in Training Center and send them to your Garmin. Really easy to use the pace range spreadsheet you made that way, and the alarms are pretty effective at keeping you straight. I have a bunch built already off of FIRST and can probably email them if you want. Then you just import.

Works great, except when you screw it up and instead of putting in per mile pace, put in total lap time. Couldn't figure out why it was screaming at me to SPEED UP!! on my 400s when I was going as fast as I could...until I saw it wanted me to run a 1:41 minute MILE instead of lap.

Oops.

In Training Center or on the online Garmin Connect?

I haven't been uploading much to my laptop, because of course it isn't online much (have to unplug my parents computer and plug mine in with the generous 3-foot cable that comes out of the modem), so I've been doing everything off the watch so far.

I think I made all the settings changes down in the bottom button (Menu/Settings).

TC. I may be able to email some to you if you want - should be back after church, so I have time to mess with it tonight.

I'm not online...something about putting GPS data for my present location didn't seem right.

Hmmm...I'll play with the menu some. Takes awhile to remember where everything is, there are so many sub-menus.
