Bishopbriggs - canal - Maryhill loop at lunchtime on a very blustery day. Quite enjoyed battling the headwind along the canal, though relieved when it was done. Just about stayed dry.

Gentle plod up to the canal and the Claypits paths, which had to be aborted when the calf stiffened up. Still no idea why this keeps happening - neither rest, stretching nor massage make a difference, while the foam roller seems to just make it worse. Perhaps amputation is the answer.

Left it a bit late, then thought I'd better get out for a local spin while the weather looked OK and got caught after 25 min in a torrential downpour. Made it back safely through the pools of surface water, but definitely a bracing experience!
