Out along the river to the aqueduct, along the canal to Lambhill, then back home via Firhill. Working hard almost the whole way, especially when heading into the wind along the canal, and still feeling reasonably strong at the end.

15 x 45/15s around the park, mostly flat/contouring, but with a few steeper bits thrown in. Hardest bit was avoiding all the shouty fitness groups - I think one of the leaders mistook me for an escapee at one point.

Briskly along the canal, down to Great Western Road and then home. Legs feeling OK, but lungs not keen on the cold air.

Orienteering 58:06 [5] 8.3 km (7:00 / km)

SoSOL on Cathkin Braes, running a sadly underpopulated Brown course. A shame more people didn't turn out for what was a really good course on a surprisingly pleasant morning. I was still a bit sloppy at times, with some hesitations and wobbles near the circle. No real errors though, and I seemed to be moving at a decent pace. Just pipped Arnis by 11 seconds to take the win for Clyde.

Took 30 sec less to go 1.6km further than at Mugdock, which rather tells its own story.

Uphill from Croftfoot station to Cathkin car park, then back down trying to make it in time for the train (I did, by about 10 secvonds!).
