15/15s in the park. Wasn't pushing too hard as it was dark, and kept it a short sharp session as it looks as if this weekend is going to be a bit epic!

Malcolm's "triangle interval" session at Bellahouston, which wasn't really triangular and wasn't really an interval session. Instead it was more of a structured fartlek with nominally uphill/downhill/flat sections. I found the fast bits OK, but was struggling to maintain the pace of those around me on the recoveries. Good fun, though my achilles was complaining a bit after the last fast downhill section.

Orienteering 59:57 [5]

Score event at Strathclyde Park - a pretty big area, so getting them all was always going to be a challenge. Committed from the off to an anticlockwise route around the loch, which meant I had the breeze at my back for the run down the west side. Unfortunately, the troubles came much earlier, with a debatable choice of which order to take the first few compounded by binning a couple of minutes missing a small depression on a green slope. Had a couple of other wobbles later, and realised I wasn't going to get the one at the SE tip of the area. Managed to pick up the rest with a 'comfortable' 3 seconds to spare! Got the win ahead of Donald, who used a different strategy and missed out a higher value control. Really good, hard workout - pleased with how the legs felt after a tough week.
