Wednesday Apr 26 #

Note

Top of calf still very sore. Tendon connecting calf and hamstring to knee? See what physio says.

Monday Apr 24 #

Note

right calf ok after o race. Left tight as well as lower hamstring.

Spent 30 minutes in gym rolling and stretching, felt like it eased off.

Strong pain in left calf from lunchtime sitting at desk. Walking about eased it a little.

Went to Dunblane medical practice as concerned it was a DVT. Similar pain from previous time. Clot in bottom hamstring? Injury not like a strain. Tender to touch top of calf.

No swelling so advised unlikely to be DVT.

Went to Pilates and circuits which helped ease it up. Sore for running so didn't do but ok on most exercises.

SOL 3 Drumlanrig 10.2km 320m
2nd behind Will - 5 minutes down.
Head not focused early on and paid the price of 3 minute mistake at #3.
After that fairly clean but loosing time on the running legs from Will especially the cross country section at the end.

Not too bad considering 30km yesterday

Very scenic long off road marathon training run. Very undulating / hilly along from Bocastle to Glen Finglas reservoir.

More straight forward running back around Loch Venachar.

Worried about calfs so kept it steady for first half and then just couldn't change pace, feeling pretty sluggish and achilles a bit sore.

30 km was minimum but ok with the 400m climb and off road route. Will need a much more speedy long run next week.

Friday Apr 21 #

Note

Left hamstring and calf sore. Pain came on while sitting on chair at home.

Walked about a bit and it disappeared. Enough to be happy to go for a run.
7 PM
