Limping around the Dunbar borders xc

Not actually limping I don’t think, but a bit more sore and a bit slower than yesterday.

XC / road / hill race 26:00 [3] 3.06 mi (8:30 / mi)
ahr:154 max:165

GP points chasing goes on, with more parkrun tourism. This time Peebles (Hay Lodge). It was billed as 3 laps but not all laps are the same, which kept me guessing exactly what was going on, but that gave me something to think about. Glutes were sore but both hamstrings and sciatica seemed to have calmed down a bit which meant I could comfortably tuck under 10 min miling and hit8:20 miling. Giddy! Still painful to stride out.

Physio - general S&C 40:00 [3]

Workplace strength and balance. Quite good fun. Though I had to share an exercise with a total male stranger which in the workplace gave me ‘Scottish-country-dancing-at-PE-holding-hands-wuth-the-opposite-sex’ panic.

Prolly good for my flexibility. Had made a physio appointment but alas had to cancel as I managed to get a rare-as-hens-teeth Friday vaccination appointment for Bertie instead, and as Friday is my day off and he is about 6 months behind with vaccinations I had to do it.need to see if I can get another appointment.

Physio - general S&C 40:00 [3]

My work tried to get people back into the office with all sorts of workplace events. They do yogalates on a Tuesday so I signed up. Apparently I was lucky to get a spot and have failed to manage to get any future slots so this might be a one off. Spent the first5 mins sitting cross legged with your arms stretching to the sky. My problem being I can only sit cross legged if I am clutching my knees like mad. And you had to stand up straight, lean forward and touch your toes, then see how much of your hands you can get on the floor. Very much theoretical for me as I can barely get past my knees. Something to work on maybe.

The yoga didn’t make me (or anyone else in the class) fart though, which is always a worry with these sorts of things so that’s a win.

Trail running 17:36 [3] 1.85 mi (9:31 / mi) +37m 8:57 / mi
ahr:120 max:142

Home from work. I can shuffle 10min miling ok. Just anything much quicker would require striding out and is totally and utterly out.
