Note

Pulled a muscle or something up near my hip. C says i might have strained a ligment...or something. But whatever it is makes it hard to walk with a full stride or anything else. So I limped around all week and am hoping 2 days of full rest will heal it.

Chris and I woke up early to go to Bristol for downhill day but as we were driving we checked the wind report and it looked good so we turned around and decided to head out for xc ski before the wind came up. Very pretty at Durand with the sun coming up over the trees and a fresh layer of snow covering everything.

Well Chris got me out again for my 2nd ever kite skiing session. It was pretty gusty and at the beginning it seemed it might be too much for even the 6 meter but then after I practiced flying the kite (not on skis) with Chris holding me I felt pretty good. I put the skis on and off I went. It is tricky with the wind constantly changing and gusting. It was fun! I am starting to feel like I can control the kite about 80% of the time. lol.

Stopped at Winona State forest. I haven't been there since I was in high school. Mom and I skated around, mostly on the snowmobile trails and some of the ski trails were groomed. Dad and Chris went back and put on their classic skis. It was nice!
