Hiking 5:00:00 [3] 10.5 km (28:34 / km)

Today felt much hotter than yesterday and legs were feeling extremely sluggish after the hike up Half Dome without any stretching afterwards (my own fault - dinner just looked better!)

Trekked to the top of the (dry) Yosemite Falls in 3 hours but at a snail's pace...glad to know we still made it at the average time crawling up hilll! Took in awesome views from up top even though the water is not falling at this time of year, it was really cool to see.

Then came back down the trail in 2 hours.

Hiking 10:30:00 [3] 22.0 km (28:38 / km)

3rd hike at a national park that we were lucky enough to receive permits for. Hiked the Half Dome at Yosemite. We made it up to the bottom of the cables in 4:30 hours.

I was terrified to go all the way to the top of the cables without any harness so only made it part way up before turning back and watching Escondido complete the ascent. He got some great pics from the top (which was A-ok with me), i waited for him about 200 meters below at the base and then we slowly made our way back down the trail when he returned to the base. Knees felt sore this day after climbing up and down all the "rock steps" but nothing advil couldn't mend.

Beautiful views and nice to see some different landscapes than the other two parks: Zion and Grand Canyon.
