Note

Was supposed to do the practical part of the avalanche course today but luckily I got a job at the outdoor centre and had to go in this morning for training. It's -25C or -31C with windchill, not a good day to be standing around looking for burried tranceivers in the snow.

I don't normally work during the school year but i've decided to go to Borneo for the month of May and have to find a source of income. Anyone want to come travelling in the Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand area with me after?

Don't know when or where team trials are this year (anyone know if they've been decided?) but if they're at the end of May/ very early june i guess I'll have a 0% chance of making the team. Oh well, If I don't know when they are I can't plan around them, and I've always dreamed about going to Borneo (ever since I learned that the world was bigger than Canada and a small island called the UK somewhere in the abyss) but I have to admit going to WOC has never been a big dream of mine just a possibility that I could maybe go one day if I trained.

Note

If anyone reads my log (probably noone) and is in the calgary area jan5-7 there's still one spot left on the lake o'hara ski trip I'm going on with the uofc outdoor club. We're having trouble filling it so it's up for grabs to the general public if anyone's interested.
