Note
(rest day)

Photographed Brew to Brew (42 mi: KC to Lawrence) and catching Dee's team at a few stops. Almost doubled their attendance with 3,100 people. Over 40 people soloed; some looked relaxed, one guy was hurting 2/3rds of the way. Those who've built up the miles just don't struggle. Saw several people (guys) along the way pushing mailboxes and in other leg stretching poses.
My next race: 4 miles.

running/walking warm up/down 10:00 [1]

orienteering 1:31:48 [4] *** 8.4 km (10:56 / km)
spiked:1/12c shoes: Integrator

Blue Springs Lake O' - another new map by Dick Luckerman. Leaves coming out, but overall it was pleasant. Certainly rusty. All major errors from not reding the map. Spike reported a runner looked at his map every 10 sec. If I had stayed with that, wouldn;t have done 4-5 in 11:35 (Spike did about 4 min, so 6 min should have been an error-free run for me).
More importantly, the legs (hamstring, calf, back, etc.) held up. 8.4 K was about right - any longer would have invited more injuries.
3rd overall.
