road cycling 1:42:37 [3] 40.32 km (2:33 / km) +378m 2:26 / km
ahr:116 max:143

Around LBG solo but with a variation at the end to try and dodge all the walkers taking part in some activity. Very pleasant riding conditions but if the bike path could be duplicated that would be better to allow for a faster time. Has WA got any spare GST monies?

MTB 1:34:05 [3] 22.79 km (4:08 / km) +360m 3:50 / km
ahr:104 max:138

Peloton of 4 plus a dog for the usual arboretum ride. Saw a sign warning of the MTBO event there next Friday night - must enter soon. Rode back via some of the new MTB tracks which was pleasant and fast. Also spoke to a MTB track builder who was from the Yukon originally. Bit tried after training last night.

walking 1:20:53 [3] 5.7 km (14:11 / km) +229m 11:49 / km
ahr:90 max:115

Dog walk around and over Mt Taylor - took it easy to save legs for training later in the day.
6 PM

Run 59:45 [3] 9.6 km (6:13 / km) +185m 5:41 / km
ahr:141 max:185

Back to running training at the arboretum - with daylight saving in place there is no need for headlights now. Plus we park at the top so the warm up run is a 2 kms circuit rather than running up the terraces from near the lake.

5 times around a loop run with climb and fast down hill bits. Followed by 4 130 metre higher tempo runs. Then the 2km warm down.

Took it easier as still recovering from the O events last week.

ride with Peter 1:48:17 [3] 39.92 km (2:43 / km) +395m 2:35 / km
ahr:106 max:132

4 in the peloton for the LBG ride - but 3 of the riders were on the sick list - one just recovered from Spanish flu (he got it in Spain), one still with Vietnam flu and the other Gold Coast flu. I did not ride close to the pack today for obvious reasons - plus pace was real slow. Easy win in the hill sprint - take no prisoners approach. Nevertheless a nice ride altho could have done without the headwind on the way to 38 expresso. Peter piked again even tho he was back in CBR - having flown in from Frankfurt late last night.

ahr:106 max:129

Short spin on Stromlo single tracks to get legs moving again.
