So there was a real winner riding a Vespa (with his girlfriend on the back), in the bike lane going under the bridge where Annette becomes Dupont. He was putsing along at around 10-15km/h. Not a big deal.

I hammered up the slight grade, then rang my bell to give him a heads up that I was passing...

As I blew his doors off he yells, 'eff you, you effin' eff'!!'...

Really?

Keep putsing pal...

Running (Chariot with Anabel ) 31:42 [3] 6.6 km (4:48 / km) +45m 4:39 / km

Old Reliable to High Park, shortened finish along Bloor on the chariot-friendly wide sidewalk. Tired today. Laboured home. Annie wanted more.

Anabel's playlist:

Gary Numan - M.E.
Witch - That's What I Want (mind-blowing 1970's Jimi Hendrix/James Brown-ish band from Zambia...a revelation)
Thundercat- Them Changes
The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
Wolf Parade - This Heart's On Fire
Deerhunter - Leather and Wood
Joe Jackson - Steppin' Out
Cocteau Twins - Lorelei

Note

Huge Raps win. Leading start to finish. Best game they've played in the playoffs. The 56 win Toronto Raptors that I've been familiar with all year long.

Lowry: bad ass Philly mother-fuffer tonight.

Running 29:16 [3] 6.94 km (4:13 / km) +26m 4:08 / km

Wanted to fit a run in, so immediately pushed through a shortened 'Old Reliable' run to High Park and back before picking up Annie at the nanny.

Felt good. Felt slower than 4:10/km, but I'll take it.

Raps game with Thanh tonight....aw ya.

Bah!

Doula appointment at 5. 15 hours of slugging. Couldn't cut any corners.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

11 AM

Orienteering race 2:05:02 [4] 11.24 km (11:07 / km)

Long Ontario Champs course at Mono Cliffs:

Knew my legs didn't have it yet running through the rough open up out of the start. This trended throughout the run as I just didn't feel powerful enough running through terrain. Felt ok on trails.

Rimmed out on a lot of 'free throws' (easy controls)...is that what you were thinking Hammer? Settled for long two's like DeMar DeRozan on harder legs...brick city on the 3's (long route choice legs).

All in all, it was fun being out there. Great course set by Nick and the Stars. Cool to see the top of the smaller outlier on the map. Competitive enough first half, then fatigue got me on the home stretch. I was rattled and made numerous mental errors to close it out. Cramping hammies to the end.

Should have ran my age group.

Great day! Nice to catch up with some O-peeps from the past. Awesome watching Annie take on a steep hill and downed trees at the start.

Humbling to see Jan-Erik blow my doors off on a trail on one of the longer legs.

I have some work to do.

Oh ya...time for a new compass. Wobbly Willie needs to retire. Or maybe it's Vlobbly Vladdy, (being a Moscow compass).
