Orienteering Rural race 2:55:00 [5]

CMOC - KawaKawa bay 3hour rogaine. 5th overall. Pretty hilly and steep, race went very well , and I had the pleasure of thinking I has cleared the course for a few hours (with the nagging suspicion I might have missed one) . Eventually once they fixed up the sport ID system and posted results , my suspicion was proved right . I could have easily got it within the 5 mins I had to spare , Just missed seeing it on the map as I ran to the next one .....

Nav went perfectly , so I'm pretty stoked with that. I think the longer race time gave me the luxury of slowing down a little and being more careful, Plus the big country makes you cautious with the fear of making a steep mistake !

Beautiful spot and a great O map , well worth the trip up there.

Lunchtime run - loooong , straight country roads..... survived , slightly brain dead, but I made it.

Run intervals 35:00 [5] 6.5 km (5:23 / km)

Harriers - drills session. 3k warm up , then 4 * 500m at 5k pace with 2 min rests, 1.5k warm down..... Of course , given a little competition I went way faster than my 5km pace. 1:44, 1:46, 1:47, and a 1:36 to finish. surprised my self a little on that last one...
