7 AM

Running 2:12:00 [3] 9.5 mi (13:54 / mi)

RUN #1: Hilly trail long run. Felt okay on this- it's nice to break up the run with taking 30 seconds to focus on 1 downhill, and then later taking some moments to work on uphill efficiency as you recommended. Made the time go more quickly and it made it feel more fun yet still beneficial.

4 PM

Running 36:00 [3] 3.65 mi (9:52 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (Neon Yel

RUN #3: I didn't get to this workout until after 8 hours of building a new garden bed so I shortened the warmup and cooldown some but still wanted to do the bulk of the work. 6 x 2:00 hills at 9:50 pace/6% incline. These felt reasonable which I think means it is 1) easy week and 2) Colorado contributed! :)

6 AM

Running 50:00 [3] 4.83 mi (10:21 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (Neon Yel

RUN #2: 3 rounds of 10:00 easy with 5:00 at MP. I did this outside and was feeling fatigued when I started so I just tried focusing on going 1 minute faster than my easy pace for the "MP" section. MP were closer to 9:19, 9:06, and 9:10 than 8:50 but that's how I was feeling that day so I went with it.

Wednesday Aug 26, 2015 #

7 AM

Running 35:00 [3] 3.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka One One Clifton (Aqua)

RUN #4: Easy shorter run around neighborhood.

Tuesday Aug 25, 2015 #

7 AM

Walking 30:00 [3] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

WALK #5: Fast, flat walk outside. Trying to do this more regularly even on my dog walks.

Sunday Aug 9, 2015 #

Foam Rolling 10:00 [3]

7 AM

Running 1:35:00 [3] 10.0 mi (9:30 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (Neon Yel

RUN #1: Long run in Duke Forest so similar to Umstead except more intermittent hills and much larger gravel! Did 15:00 at faster pace (8:47) to start then easier in middle. Tried to pick up at end but ended run a little short. I finally felt 85% normal on this run- the abx must be kicking in- and am so excited. Hope it continues.

Saturday Aug 8, 2015 #

4 PM

Running 30:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Montrail Bajada (Coal)

RUN #3: Trail run- didn't feel great today in the morning (abx make me nauseous and I was still super tired) so I put this run off. I ended up finding a new trail and just doing a small loop on it as I realized I didn't tell anyone where I was going. 2 hill pick ups on this baby run.
6 PM

Strength/Core 20:00 [3]

Still doing about 12 moves for core & hip stability. Think this makes a big difference- always always 50 clamshells.

Friday Aug 7, 2015 #

6 AM

Running 42:00 [3] 4.15 mi (10:07 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (Neon Yel

RUN #4: Flat recovery run in neighborhood with strides at end. Cut it short as I want to feel better ASAP and no reason to push through now that I know it's not in my head.

Strength/Core 20:00 [3]

Wednesday Aug 5, 2015 #

Running 40:00 [3] 3.5 mi (11:26 / mi)
shoes: Hoka One One Clifton (Aqua)

RUN #5: Super easy recovery run. Came home from work to take a nap because now that I know I'm not being a wuss but actually have things that need to be fixed health-wise I'm being gentler with myself instead of continuing to push through.

Foam Rolling 10:00 [3]

Adductors, calves

Note

Just wanted to add that I went to the doctor last week for the extreme fatigue, overwhelming feeling to fall asleep at random moments (driving the car, running, work) and I tested positive for 2 lyme's antibodies so going on antibiotics for that. ALSO, my ferritin levels were massively low- about 6 when they should be 20 or above. My hemoglobin is normal but trending downwards which is a good indication that I'm not anemic but extremely iron deficient. Finally, B12 deficiency. Starting supplements ASAP and hope this will resolve. Also checking cortisol/adrenal function but have not had test results back on that.
5 AM

Running 43:49 [3] 5.11 mi (8:34 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (Neon Yel

RUN #2: Total time and distance does not include the 2:00 RI which I jogged at first few entirely but didn't recover enough so I walked the first minute and then jogged the second minute leading into my next repeat goal 1:45/7:00 pace. 10 x 400 at 1:48, 1:47, 1:46, 1:43, 1:44, 1:47, 1:49, 1:50, 1:45, 1:43. Definitely felt these. Cool down and stretch.

Sunday Aug 2, 2015 #

Note

Did several hours of yard work so didn't get in a formal workout. Had a lot to catch up on.
