Running intervals 30:00 [4] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)

2km, me and Steve were in the slow group, but were the fastest two. He is very tall! Anyway, off we go, I paced with him all the way round and still had a little bit more to give for the sprint finish. Felt really good to keep pushing all the way round, as usually I fall into the unmotivated state with a long rep.
Lap times were:
1.48, 1.47, 1.47, 1.45, 1.40. - pretty pleased with that :)

Then we had 400m sprint - 1.25. I lead us off and no one over took me. Started fast and managed to keep it going round the 300m mark.
The next 300m killed me, but then enjoyed the last two sprints 200m, 100m.
Such a great session and no stitch!

Orienteering race (Score) 1:04:28 [4] **** 9.28 km (6:57 / km) +104m 6:35 / km
spiked:22/41c

For a start I am not very good at score courses, this one, the points were so random that it was difficult to plan a good route. I think in the end my route was ok, but according to the results I was 4 minutes late. Perhaps that is because my watch was on the auto pause setting? Anyway I thought i'd mastered it in 53 minutes, but clearly that wasn't the case! The other difficulty I found was having to unfold the map to write the postbox code on the back of the paper and then turn it over and re-orientate/find where you were, not a very smooth process.
Anyway, good to get out and meet some SLOW members and explore a new area of London, Crouch End. Definitely need to practice score races.
