Set out on last leg behind Matthew. Same as usual- getting to the general area of the control then having to stop and check my map again to find the kite. A minute behind Matthew in the end. Team came 2nd so got another bag

2nd M16- 40 second down on Matthew. Not gonna lie was pretty gutted to have near perfect run and still get beaten. Felt like my only real mistakes were 30 seconds at 5 and 30 seconds 21 both mistakes in the control circle. Physically felt good the whole way round but seem to be losing a few seconds at every control locating the kite. I guess the difference is Matthew knows where the control is by looking at the map and I just get to the top of the sand dune and look around for it. Maybe need to look at descriptions more closely idk

Note

Active sports boys day in Lochgilphead mean they forced everyone into doing "sports" I was meant to do archery boxing rugby and running drills. Archery shouldn't really be a sport and we were just stood around doing nothing so I wasn't warmed up for boxing. The guy made us go into lunges without a warm up and pulled groin on both sides along with 4 other boys. My wrists were hurting afterwards too and my hand was shaking that afternoon and evening.
