Fast area but went out definitely on the wrong plan. Knew I needed to be just solid on compass and take a general picture of the terrain but I kept trying to go off the contours and hoping I’d be right in the vague parts. So quick on the control pick but couldn’t get it right and made a mad one at #5 losing 3:15. Rest was so scrappy and I’m pretty disappointed with it in general but nice to get back into the big races

Mid-DofE in the lunch break. Walked up to the col at the bottom of Snowdon’s South Ridge and dumped bags to go for a jog to the top. Pretty easy and really technical but was a lush day and didn’t want to miss it

Loop up Moel-y-parc easy and then a bit of steady running on the road back. Feeling pretty good after a few mad weeks but it’s all recovery for this one.
