Tash and I walked Hazel through the construction-4H loop.
All-girl walk!

Orienteering 46:06 [3] 3.5 km (13:10 / km) +13m 12:56 / km

Easy-paced, relaxed walk-trot-jog (mostly walking and map-thinking until my concussion headache kicked in) ‘sprint‘ orienteer outing with Francis on the first half of the AHPark Long MapRun course. My head was sore at the end, but I was glad to be able to do some decent map reading. Fun course! Weird new Kalenji water-belt bottles were hard to sip from - WTF?

Running 38:31 [3] 6.36 km (6:03 / km)
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

RHAH, but a bit cooler. It’s all relative, right? Finished as a river of sweat. Came across stupid bike path detours due to construction, so I ignored them and ran on the SJAM road near Carling. It was actually the safest bet for any pedestrian or cyclist to use the road! This City has lost its marbles.
All-in-all a good run. Ran totally negative splits, from 6:15 to 5:38. Felt more like I was actually running today rather than just suffering!!!

Decided to take advantage of the cooler, overcast, drizzly respite from the heat and do a bike ride after my run: a KCIRB!!!
Great ride, so happy to have the cooler conditions. Didn’t even mind getting totally soaked. At least it was rain and not just sweat! Not many people out there, so it was a nice meditative ride. Went out to Booth and back. Started out with Francis (on Purp) and we saw Robbie on his roller skis at the Carling ramp, as we all negotiated the very silly construction detour that was set up at that point. Things are getting crazier and crazier in this town, I tell ya...

Yoga 44:00 [3]

Felt very creaky today. Stretching and strengthening poses; also added some pushups, scale lunges, and a couple of minutes of plank. Creak, creak, creak...

Running 36:44 [4] 6.2 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

Insanely RHAH run. I almost bonked at around 5km but managed to push out another km and a bit. When I finished I was a river of sweat. Wore a visor today and found that it was good - kept me shaded and no sweat ran into my eyes.
Saw Morten on the way out. He had reduced to a walk because of the HAH. I totally understood!!!!
Also saw Pius and Sandra heading out on their bike ride :)

RHAH ride with Francis to Parc Moussette-Pink Lake Lookout-Champlain Pkwy to P6, where we had a brief gel-snack stop. Headed back in the reverse direction. I was really feeling it today. My shoulders were really sore from being scrunched up on a too-small frame :(. I need my new bike!!!!!!!!

Great early morning ride with Francis to the bakery. Took the bike path as usual past Britannia to Carling/AHPark, rode along the bike lane to Moodie Dr, then stayed on the road until reaching the heavenly bakery. Had a chocolate brownie to cap off the banana and kiwi I had for breakfast :) Y.U.M.
Nice variety-filled ride back, taking Bourke Rd off of Carling to hit the Watts Creek bike path, to home. Was startled at one point by a HUGE rabbit that ran out in front of me in Chipmunk Alley. Yowza, that was a big ‘un!!!
Nice to be fuelled by chocolate on an early morning ride. Also nice to have my Bontrager saddle back on board/butt :)

Nice cool morning ride with Francis out to the War Mu and back. I took the Selle Donna saddle for a spin. Didn’t like it: too slippy, too soft, not long enough, and it tilts forward. I definitely prefer my Bontrager Ajna Comp saddle :)

Running 36:56 [3] 6.2 km (5:57 / km)
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

Tried an evening run since it was so hot. Still humid at this time, but no glaring sun. Really busy along the river. Lots of pot smoking going on! I wonder how much Covid-weed smoke I inhaled???
