Great course on Sedgwick; did the shorter B course, but was pleased with this. Made one significant error in navigation. This probably cost me 3 - 4 minutes.

Ran with Ilka from no. 7 up the fire trail to the range, then along to the trig point. What a great morning for such a run - it was beautiful.

Set out on the A course at Lyall Forest, but got lost and couldn't re-locate (because I think I could have been off the map). Gave up and DNF'd. Went back later with Neil when collecting controls and walked the route that I'd stuffed up. That's usually a useful thing to do.

Ran from no. 7 up onto the range to the Marne trig point, tack down. Then back down. More water lying about than I remember, with green bits showing in the forest. A lovely run....

local event at Spring Gully, with 21 controls in a relatively small area. This was good fun, and I ran relatively hard for me because there was a newcomer who was running really well and I didn't want to be beaten by someone who is new to the sport, even if she's half my age. Look out next time flynny - I only beat her by 40 secs.

Well, got home a little earlier than usual, so I could go for a run, but it's very wet, and I'm not that desperate for a run. It's been pouring rain for 4 hours.

Orienteering on the Jim Crow map. I ran in W35 - silly me; I'm very slowly recovering from being sick, and have lost a lot of fitness. Had to walk some hills, and my running was pathetic. Nice to be out in a wet forest.

Local orienteering event on the Sedgwick map. Great day, good course; organiser was Cath Creely - it was clear that she had put some thought into including route choice legs. I really enjoyed this even though the weather was cold and rainy for the whole day.

Hugely disappointed that I still haven't recovered enough to run. My coughing was so bad that I think I have torn a muscle in my chest wall. It's very painful to move and cough.

Great! got out and orienteered today - lovely cold day, damp forest, good Bendigo spur gully terrain, and this was the first time I'd been able to run for 2 weeks - I've really missed it.
