Orienteering race 1:17:46 [3] 7.7 mi (10:06 / mi)

Drongo's Blakeholme Harvester. 5th leg INT finish 8th team with Max Claire Nadya Graham me Ken & Colin.

Cap'n Max had set the team up for a charge through the field which we were executing quite sweetly. I didn't really contribute. Achilles and knee playing up sent the left leg stability to comical proportions as I mainly walked while studying the ground carefully and frequently. One comedy moment at a wall crossing where after several aborted attempts I tried to push up with the leg leg, the achilles went off and down I went, left sitting for a minute before cautiously walking on. Chuck in a couple of big errors and 15mins a km is the output.

Which is a shame because although rough it was never nasty, and it was a good tough test true to the original spirit of the Harvester, which didn't have crippled geriatrics in its target audience.

Knee notably less sore at the end than in the car, perhaps ibuprofen-related
