Got chatting to a bloke (principal’s partner) at the work Christmas party about CityStrides, so today was day one of trying to run every street in The Range. Given it is loading every run I’ve got on my current Garmin account, I’m already 60%of the way there, so may have to tick off some more local suburbs too.

2 short stages of Tour of Makuri Island back to back so that I actually have a chance of finishing it. Pretty comfortable pace, but unpleasantly warm. Not as bad as last time though.

First run over 10km in a long time. Kept it super easy paced and felt pretty good, other than a prickle in my sock that kept poking the top of my big toe.

Chasing the Sun solo loop on Makuri Island. Had thought of going a bit longer, but it was hot and my legs were still feeling Sunday , so needed to take easier to have any chance of that actually eventuating.

Race Makuri Stage 2 - 28:04, 258W. Pretty hard. Didn't want to start flat out, so settled in a pack in the middle of the field, which blew up when we started to go uphill. At the top of the climb, I was stuck in no man's land between two packs, and that's where I stayed till the end. 16th of 60 in C grade. Heart was not particularly happy immediately after finishing the effort.
Roughly 10 mins WU, waiting for the race to start, and looping around the course a second time very gently afterwards (without the lead-in).

Yesterday’s delayed jog meant running 2 days in a row for the first time in a long time. Felt pretty good generally, but was getting a bit of upper hammy/glute pain in the second half.
