Was supposed to possibly be clear today so thought a trip to the top of MacPherson would be a good plan. Atsuko and CO were along for the day. Turned out to the pretty foggy but figured it was still a good option just wouldn't go all the way to the top. Climbed the skid road and then around the Burnt Knob. Lots of tracks lower down but they started getting more scarce near the Furry Knob. A week without much snow and we were still able to find some good fresh lines. Continued on up the classic route to the summit. Original plan was to ski a line into the Womb but couldn't see much up high. Were about 300 vertical meters from the summit. As we de-skinned the skies cleared a bit though and had good vis for the way down. Had good snow down the upper line on the classic route then skinned up and traversed over and had another good run down to the lake near the Burnt Knob and then below it. only a little creek bed skiing to end the run. Good day - nice to check out a new line and fresh turns despite the drought.
Most of the day at the ski hill. Legs felt pretty strong on the tele gear however tired out towards the end of the day. Not many people there which was nice - crowds showing up tomorrow?

Classic ski - took the waxable skis out and had decent grip with violet. With my parents and my inlaws around the outside loop. A bit back and forth waiting for them at times. Nice day - clear and a little cooler. Felt solid with the technique.

Skate ski with Courtney and my parents. Had a few little fun races around Evelyn's Loop on the insistence of my dad. I wonder where I get my competitive nature from...:)
