running 2:00:00 [2] +217m

Long easy run at Clinton Rockcrusher/Rockhaven. I carried both maps and looked at things occassionally.

The big flat green area on Rockhaven has been largely cleared. The area was a field a long time ago. I think the 1980-ish Linthicum map would show it as open. But, over the years it was overgrown by dense cedars. The map shows it as solid fight. But, last year the USACE did some clearing and this winter they've done more. Time to update the area. For a quick update, I think I can just import GPS tracks of the edges of the open area. I ran it twice and probably have enough info to make some tweaks to the map. Maybe when we get the newer air photos, I'll be able to draw the edges from those.

The run was fun. I took it easy but being out that long is still tiring. The last half hour was: HU/ML/TR/TR/ML/HU

cycling 20:00 [1]

Biking to/from class at Wescoe. I went a bit fast on the way to the class because it was cold and I was worried I might be running late.

running 40:00 intensity: (32:00 @2) + (8:00 @4)

Trail run with at the Overlook with the latest version of the map.

I also did 2 x HU/ML/HE.

It was nice to be out and moving after a longish day.

cycling 45:00 [1]

Work commute. It was a bit chilly on the way to work, temp around 22F and a bit of a north wind.

rowing 20:00 [1]

Row, row.

Now I need to spend a little time on the map for the 2/11 orienteering event at Clinton Overlook.

Work commute.

running 45:00 [2]

I waited for it to get dark so the whole run would be a headlamp run. I shuffled around on West Campus. Crazy warm weather means I ran in just shorts and a light jacket with no gloves or hat.

I didn't see any deer. That's unusual. I wonder where the deer were hiding.

Work commute. Instead of a jog I did some work on the overlook map.
