Tried some running for the first time since the St. Louis marathon. I'd been nursing an irritated toe joint for about a month before the marathon, and once it was over, I finally give it some much needed rest. It's been about 3 weeks now, with regular icing and ibuprofen, along with all cross training that's avoided the pressure on the toe joint. I jogged for about 5 minutes and felt great. I'll gradually add running back into the mix with easy access to cross training if it turns out my toe's not ready yet and I need to get on a bike instead.
