Swimming 30:00 [2] 1.2 km (25:00 / km)

Fail swim. At the start the shoulder was uncomfortable but I was coping. Then about 25min in it started to be really painful, i couldn't do a turn because it involves either doing a "big" stroke or holding onto the wall, neither of which I could do. And I couldn't do kick because it involves either holding a kick board or having my arms above my head. Hopefully whatever this is goes away quickly!

Jogging 51:50 [3] 9.13 km (5:41 / km) +114m 5:21 / km
ahr:131 max:159

Slow jog around Ladybower with Mary. This did not feel good at all, my shoulder / lung was really bothering me (especially when combining running with laughing, damn you Mary!). It was beautiful though, love Ladybower, even though the weather was quite ordinary.

Jogging 38:15 [2] 6.46 km (5:55 / km) +138m 5:21 / km
slept:4.0

Social run group. We were all keen for a slow one tonight.

On another note, my shoulder pain seems to be less muscular and more lung related. Sharp pain when sneezing / coughing / breathing deeply. Which contributed to another less than ideal night of sleep.

Running race 1:25:43 [5] 21.1 km (4:04 / km) +317m 3:47 / km
ahr:175 max:182

Sheffield Half. At the start, I still hadn't decided if I was going to push it, or just get around. But my competitive side kicked in and I decided that if I felt OK, I would go hard, and if I felt crap, I would jog.

I didn't feel good at any point, but I didn't feel crap enough to jog. The hill was a struggle but it was easier than last year and I kept a pretty high pace. I was 4th going up the hill, at the top I took a drink and immediately got a stitch and had to back off the pace, so a girl came past. She was being paced and was really nailing it on the steep downhills. I gave her up for lost until I caught her again on the hill from Dore, then we played leapfrog until the hill in the last 1km and I got her.

Pretty pleased with the time, 4 minutes faster than last year and I felt way better at the finish, no quad stiffness at all. Especially considering JK 6 days ago. Most pain is from my left shoulder which I guess is from climbing on Friday and was just aggravated by breathing heavily. No one likes finishing 4th, but I was actually way behind 3rd (2 minutes) and only just ahead of 5th (8 seconds).

Definitely should have done more warm down!

Swimming 30:00 [2] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)

Swim at Goodwin to loosen before tomorrow. Forgot how sore my arms and shoulders would be from climbing. Packed it in after 30 because I was barely moving.

Climbing 1:00:00 [3]

Bouldering at The Climbing Works with Mary. We were there about 3 hours but with a break in the middle. Only been climbing a handful of times in my life so I didn't get any further than blue / level 2, but it was lots of fun. I was very fatigued by the end, and my hands were very sore!

Jogging 53:10 [3] 10.63 km (5:00 / km) +144m 4:41 / km
ahr:148 max:166

Easy jog up Porter to Forge Dam and back. Feeling OK but not 100%, finally had some sleep, but HR was a bit high and I was struggling to keep it down.
