Trekking/Hiking 2:30:00 [3]

Alisha had never been to Algonquin before, so Heather and I put a lot of thought into which trail to hike, and decided on Track and Tower to make sure we had time to fit in our other planned activities for the day. It was a really chilly morning at around -13, but we were able to stay pretty warm in the woods. Algonquin in the off season is so lovely without the crowds. There were a few other people on the trail, but not many and the whole place just has such a different quiet feel to it.

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

Back in July Heather, Alisha and I booked a cabin near the west gate of Algonquin for this past weekend at one of my favourite places: https://wolfdenbunkhouse.com/ I stayed at the Snowy Owl with Amber and Iris over Easter and was eager to return, so we booked that same one for this weekend. When we booked we had no idea what the weather would be like at the end of November, but we were treated to some beautiful early winter conditions.

We planned a lunch stop at Quayle's Brewery, a newer place that none of us had ever been to, on the way up, and Heather found a great riding route nearby in Copeland Forest. The ground was firm with light snow which made for great riding conditions. The post-ride lunch stop at Quayle's did not disappoint with both really nice beer, great food, and an excellent atmosphere!

Running 50:00 [3]

Watching the new Salomon movie "Long Shorts," which I had been specifically saving for a treadmill run and was a great way to pass the time!

Running 40:00 [3]

After a long day of horse clipping yesterday, everything felt tight and stuffed up this morning. Wearing a mask for clipping during COVID has helped with the amount of dust and dirt that I breathe in, so it's something I may continue doing for especially hairy or dirty horses!
