Ran with Orlando for the first 4 miles of the run. That was about the time I lost my focus. Within the next two miles it started to rain. Thanks to my wife riding her bike next to me; she kept me move.
Back home from Nags Head. Today I had a 5K time trial w/ a mile warm-up
Today I felt stronger running than I have in a long time, since around the time I was training for the marathons in 2003 & 2004. During the 5K, the first 2 miles felt very smooth but the last mile I struggled and could not keep the pace below 7' miles.
Splits:
WU: 7:20 mile
MS: 21:09 > 6:24, 6:55, 7:07
Nags Head, North Carolina... Swirling winds coming off the ocean. On the way out there was a little breeze, but coming on the way back there was a constent 10 mph head wind with gust of 15 mph.
