Road Cycling 1:56:00 [3] 56.0 km (29.0 kph)

Cycling regular ride around the river and Mt Henry bridge. Cath not up for Shelly - a little windy in parts but not too bad. Very few groups to keep up with all the groups that cam by were way to too quick to hold on to.

Orienteering race 1:10:15 [5] *** 5.7 km (12:19 / km) +215m 10:22 / km
spiked:11/14c

Ran 7.7km on the GPS which is too much extra. Messed up #5 going too far south and ended up near the old dams and then had an easy run along the track to the control. had to relocate off the fence cnr for #7 and lost a couple of minutes. Had trouble at 10 as was too high and had to relocate and drop down on the control when I planned to attack from below. More time lost at 13 as could not read it as a hilltop and was obscured by the large rocks, final brain fade at the last control where I dropped low and had to reclimb the hill to the control. Ended up equal 3rd with Peter Komyshan on exactly the same time around 8 minutes down on Simmo. Legs were very tired towards the end and could blame the long day on Saturday but in reality not enough training in the past couple of months to be able to push on.

A good weekend and good end to the bush O Season time for some street O?
