Logistics dictated that the only 'training' window was pre-breakfast and after last week's attempt and fail at early morning running, tried cycling instead. Only slightly better. Bleugh.

6 x 90sec trail hills (2 steep sections with semi-flat in middle. Every other one with short section of steps). Jog back down recovery.

White Cliff Rigg & Givendale W35 / Blue 4.4km 75m
Low expectations for today, but actually enjoyed it and gave it a bit of grrr; control pick compass for the first half (-1 min wobble at 9 which felt way too far right), then bash through the brash for the second half, and lovely beech for the last couple. A block of forest was a bit misaligned near the end but didn't lose too much time.

Thirsk Urban Race Women's Open/35 5.7km 35m
Caught out at no 2 but already committed (-20secs). A few controls had to stop and look hard at the map for ways through etc. Lots of doglegs but quite enjoyably really. Actual running distance 8.7km.

Uath Lochans Blue 6km
Jase challenged me to 1 min/km behind (but didn't let on that he was a tad tired!) so I tried. 2 min error on no 9 (I'm blaming the map) and a couple of small wobbles but feeling pretty ok! :-)
NB Pre-race warm up of lugging the buggy around the yellow course coz I forgot the backpack.

Losing motivation for trying to train hard :-( Been too tired and flighting too many germs the last few weeks. Trying so hard to juggle everything. So yet another steady 50 min-ish run.
