Railway 12. Ray for the first 6, Coombs all the way. They seemed to really pick it up when I stopped for a few seconds at 6km & had to work hard to catch them. The wind on the way back wasn't as bad as feared and I was pleased to hold a slightly higher pace than last week, although the last few km suffered for it as they were a few seconds slower.

Frogston 10 aborted when I realised my security pass had jumped out my pocket. Backtracked with my eyes peeled but couldn't spot it.

Longer run from Townend to Pooley Bridge over High Street. Biblically wet but with a tailwind all the way it was still good fun. Sunday roast in 'The Sun' went down very well.

Enjoying retirement from the squad with a breezy run from Patterdale to Ambleside via St Sunday & Fairfield. Better than a treadmill in Crewe anyway.

10th day of the fortnight escape to the hills. The aim of a big tour of the Crianlarich munros thwarted by mist and lethargy. In the end I only managed 2 - An Caisteal and Beinn a'Chroin. 20 minutes spent wandering around trying to find the line off of the eastern top of BaC were less than ideal so when I did get down to the col I was not too interested in climbing back into the mist again.
