MTB at Prospect Hill. Found a nice stream, some new (to me) trails. I think we could make a pretty challenging MTB-O map of this venue, with appropriate trails/courses for all skill levels.

Prospect Hill Park with new brakes on the MTB. Explored south end of the park and part of the future Wayside Rail Trail. Right now, it's only usable by dog walkers. There are still rails and ties, so the MTBing was very bumpy.

At Rutland State Park with former colleague P. We bailed from Mt. Wachusett, where a line of heavy rain threatened. Instead, we went south, where we still got soaked.

Around the paved roads abutting Prospect Hill and some on the paved roads within Prospect Hill. Couldn't get derailleur to shift to my granny on the front, so my climbing was feeble.

More running on the Prospect Hill map, hitting the low point (base of the ski slope) and running up it, as well as exploring a bit off trail on the south side, trying to match up the in-the-park view of an intentional fence gap with the one I saw from my car last week.

On the Prospect Hill map with my new colleague stever. Slow jogging, walked the uphills. Tried to make sense of the map, which is usable but could benefit from some cleanup. stever in particular was incredulous at the clutter from cliff tags that don't help readability and aren't really necessary.

Bear Brook Green. Woods were very full, and my orienteering was for @#$@. 1 good leg, lots of sloppy movement. I found 1-6, then was out of time, so instead of going to 7, I tried to go to 9 to do the tail end of the course, and failed to find 9. Bleah. Also, broke a gaiter when a branch caught it right on the seam and ripped the seam open from knee to ankle.

Then, after some change of gear, tried to go out for a short, easy ride. I managed not to flat, but I did biff trying to top a short, steep rise. When I arose, I found I had no rear brakes. Double bleah.
