run (beach) 19:49 [2] 2.14 mi (9:16 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow

8am. Went for a short run along the beach for some token milage. Unlikely to get much serious training this weekend since I will be dancing the whole time. Ran along the waters edge where the sand was firm and turned back after 10 minutes. Would have liked to go more but had to get back in time for breakfast. Estimated the distance by using 9:15 mile pace since I was taking it pretty easy. Temperature was supposedly 24F but seemed much warmer.

other (strength) 1:55 [3]

Situps, pushups and back exercises.

Square dancing (rounds,plus,ms) 2:00:00 [1]
shoes: Rockport

Sweetheart Weekend. Rounds workshops 10-12, plus with rounds 2-4:30 and 8:15-11. Headache was back in the afternoon but drugs kept me going. Had hoped for another short run or time in the pool during the dinner break but we had problems with the door locks and wasted to much time. Took a short nap instead.

run tempo (road) 30:35 [3] 4.0 mi (7:39 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Stabil

1:30am. Lee - Graham - 50 route. Packed for this weekend first so did not get out until friday morning instead of thursday night. After the first mile tried to run at 7 min/mi tempo pace. Not very successful. My cold made breathing hard and I am probably not at my best so early in the morning. Splits: 8:34, 7:28, 7:29, 7:03
Felt ok then but after a short nights sleep my cold is worse and I have a headache.

Square dancing (plus, rounds) 1:00:00 [1]
slept:4.0 (sick) shoes: Rockport

Sweetheart Weekend in VA Beach with Bev. 8:30-1200.
Definately in the pre-cold stage. Fighting a headache much of the day. Some decongestant and Ibuprofen kept me going.

Square dancing (plus) 20:00 [1]
weight:172lbs shoes: Thom Mcan

At Boomerangs 7:30-9:30.
Seem to be catching the cold that is going around. Sore throat today so I stayed inside and went to bed instead of going out to run. Do not want to be sick for the dancing this weekend.

walk 16:50 [1] 1.0 mi (16:50 / mi)
slept:8.0 weight:174lbs shoes: Thom Mcan

12:30pm. Walk back to work after getting a haircut during lunch. Nice 55 degree day.

Square dancing (dbd,rounds) 30:00 [1]
shoes: Thom Mcan

At Dixie Stars. 8-10pm.

run (road) 47:48 [2] 6.0 mi (7:58 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow

11pm. Lee - Annandale - 50 route. Shorts again as temps were in high 40s. New haircut has lower wind resistance but back of the neck was cold. Splits 8:46, 8:06, 7:50, 8:09, 7:43. 7:14. First mile a bit slow because I was stopped by traffic. Took the 3rd split a new point, probably better than before but 3rd mile is mostly downhill and 4th has the most uphills so cannot tell from the times where it should be.

other (strength) 2:18 [3]

Some situps, pushups and back exercises. Want to go the weight room again but figure I should prepare with some weightless exercises.

Advanced class 8-10pm.

run (road) 15:28 [1] 1.5 mi (10:19 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow

11pm. Started my usual 4mi run but had to cut it short. Ate to much of the wrong things yesterday. Turned around at the 3/4 mile point and had to walk part of the way back. Thought about the bike but went to bed instead.
