British Middles - Stanton Moor - 3.5km M55
BAD from the start. Chose the wrong route to 1, easier nav but dreadful underfoot. Stood under 1 for an age looking too low! 2 - map definitely wrong JE says so. Could not make the quarry out at all, too fussy on the map. All in all a rubbish run/walk

British Sprints - Loughborough - heats
Two 1 minute errors - first coz the overprint obscured an short uncrossable fence between two buildings. 2nd wholly my fault getting disorientated and expecting to see a control above the grass level whereas it was below it - doh!

Dreadful. Blew control 1 for a minute - could not relate ground to map. Actually stood next to the control 3 times before I saw it, and only then when someone else punched in front of me. Found 6 before 5. Could get out of 9 etc etc

Warwick uni evening urban - 3.5km
mp's at crtl1 - hard to read faintoverprint & didn't initially see the very short 1. When I realised I was past it turned and quickly punched but alas there were two controls either side of a wall and mine was the other side.
Made 1 more significant error. map was hard to read. A good midweek run around.

bad start when it started raining and then the wind blew my map away on the way to 1, missed one (3mins error), fluffed 2 a bit, 4 was a 9minute nightmare, god knows what I did, I even visited the control and rejected it, I was misreading my control descriptions BIGTIME!
Made other stupid errors too. The 1:5000 scale also threw me and I found it hard to judge distances. - all in all a REALLY BAD DAY

stuffed 1 (went to inside wall and then had 300m run around to get to the outside
stuffed 4 - forgot we weren't to go to 3 and ran most of the way to it before doubling back
missed 4 - flat control
stuffed 6 - didn't realise it was on same map portion as 5 so had to go back to 4 from 5 to have another shuftie
stuffed 12 - didn't realise it was on same map as 11 so had to retrace to 10
stuffed 21 - got the map 90 out and looked along the fence instead of the earthbank
stuffed 22 big time - just chased Mike B to the finish before realising I'd missed it and then could not remember where it was.
