steady run 40:00 [3]

Warm up for X country race. one full lap plus extra bits. Legs feeling lethargic and not very enthusiastic.

Cross-country race 43:00 [5]

Haddo X-C race, 6 mile, 43-30ish. Started steadily and then pushed on first hill and undulations after this. After ca 1 mile was in gap with no-one near (closest was 50m ahead, mostly 100m or so), ran rest of race on own, so a decent time trial effort.

Warm up before street-O - partly with Ewan on his course and run to start.

orienteering race 41:00 [4]

Edinburgh Uni Street-O. Mostly clean (not running hard enough - tired legs and hard streets, missed 1 badly by overshooting alley/entrance - ca 1 minute, also 1 minute lost inPollock due to map being unclear and having to back out of shit green when uncrossable fence encountered. 4th M50 so fairly happy as street-O not my thing!

With Sarah short run (walk...) up Millstone Hill. Legs feeling a bit heavy, but did some slightly harder pushes on some stepped sections. Nice view from summit and a few bits of nice forest - worth checking out old map?

Note

Ret day, but an hours walk in Cambus with Beavers - carrying heavy rucksack, full of head torches that were not needed as it stayed light almost til 5pm!

orienteering 47:00 [5]

DNC 7 Potarch - good course with plenty of twists ands turns. Please with run - a few hesitations but no major time loss - just a bit tired on hills (after past 2 days efforts). 3-30 down on Chris, so a reasonable result!

Railway line to west, 9x2+1. Feeling prety dreadful, poor distance, but didn't try to force things.

Hill of Banchory jog before pilates. feeling OK

Good session, foam rollers, so quite hard.

Nip down to school to meet Sarah and Ewan - short of time so pushed it. Chest felt quite tight - cat? or just too fast?

Strength 35:00 [2]

Gym session, lunges, sit-ups and leg straighteners. Nothing hurting badly.
