Deeside way then diagonal track up to gate on Mortlich (running out of time and couldn't face last step climb in the snow). Back via Low hill. Pleasant run and felt quite good on railway on return - picked up pace and felt smooth.

Intervals hills 12:00 [5]

Hill session at Dess with Sarah, Deeside Way from bridge to hill behind out house x 3 each done as 4x1+1. Not feeling great on warm-up but got into session. Each set got further so good progression. Underfoot mostly OK, a few patches with 3-4" snow but mostly thin and fairly firm. Good session to have done.

Aboyne to home along snowy wet railway line/Deeside Way.

Home to Aboyne along slightly less snowy but just as wet Deeside Way/railway line. Legs not very bright, hope to feel up to a quality session in tomorrow.

Short run while Ewan at swimming & tennis. Aboyne Community Centre to railway line to Balnagowan (nice track along south edge is now a forest tractor wallow) to Tarland way, down to Otter Bridge and back to community centre. Still lots of snow around. Feeling a bit tired from yesterday.

Deeside Runners at Aboyne, lots of snow so did hill race route. Pushed 3 hills very hard, especially last one. Not feeling fast but quite strong on longer pushes.
