Surveying 3:00:00 [1]

Urban survey - though lots of wee bits of wood and paths so more pleasant. Sunny and warm so more people out and about.

Surveying 3:00:00 [1]

Urban survey in the drizzle... gave up once it started getting heavier.

steady run 55:00 [3]

With S round the woods, a couple of hill efforts behind her (about 8 mins total) then of to a lap of the fields and down to the waterfall and back. Steady rain but actually quite enjoyed it.

pace run 8:00 [5]

2 hill efforts. Revised from S log - she timed them!

Pilates 20:00 [1]

Last bit of pilates class (had to take cat to see the vet...)

Sunday Aug 2, 2020 #

steady run 1:03:00 [3]

Pressendye from Tarland woods carpark, direct up, back via top loop then direct (missing out Pittendreich).
Ground out the climb, feeling fairly strong leg wise. Trying to lift knees and drive with straight rear leg, up and down. Felt good on descent - hills in past few weeks must be working :-)
View from the top of Pressendye must be one of the best in Aberdeenshire - all the way from Lochnagar, Ben Avon, Cairngorm to the northern hills (Rinnes, Binn of Cullen, Tap O'Noth, Bennachie) and then the southern line, Durris, Kerloch, Mt Shade, Clachnaben, Battock, Keen etc.
Maybe I should aim to visit all the visible tops in 2020... done quite a few already (including most of the biggies!).

Note

Nice little walk from Reiff out to some cliffs - just the thing for a recovery day. Then drive home.

Friday Jul 31, 2020 #

steady run 2:50:00 [3]

With S up 3 tops of Quinag. Legs not feeling great but steady effort (walking) up hills and jogging the flats/downs.

Note

rest day - pretty whacked fro yesterday. Lots of slow chilled riving - up to Drumbeg, the Laxford Bridge and south to a night just north of Kylesku bridge (my favourite bridge in Scotland!)
