did run up burbrook rd this morning. in total 5 relatively long climbs. the first couple sucked, but i tried to spin and remain seated on the last couple. recovery at the top wasn't too bad, able to switch to higher gears quicker and get up some speed. windy heading back into home on sydenham rd but still managed decent speed.

0820 hrs. legs are burning a bit, but overall feel pretty good. holidays coming up, so should be able to get a few longer rides in.

went out before work. legs were heavy to start but warmed up eventually. however the temp was cold. legs were little numb by the end. the weather was brutal, drizzle, windy, but at least i got out instead of indoors for a change.

started the tempo slow. avereage 118 bpm. stepped it up a bit. used a low gear to spin a little more. the legs felt pretty good for the most part and maintained the same pace the whole time. had to stop at half way to use the can, but picked it up again w/o issue. burned 604 calories. actually went a little quicker then anticipated.

did a spinervals suffer o rama video. 50 mins of interval intensity. got the chain up on the big ring and rode pretty hard. legs are feeling it now. 2 sessions a week of that should get me to where i need to be for race. gotta get outside tho. needs hills and wind.

good hard pedal today. tried to keep a high cadence in a relatively moderate gear. i was sweating quickly and the legs burning a bit. but actually feel better now, if able i'll try another 30 tonight.

first race in 17 years and dropped out after the back left me in the dust on lap 5. i tried to keep up and a couple of times manged to do it, but i was spent trying. i was a lot nervous and hung in the pack on the outside instead of in the middle and it cost me some valuable energy.

had fun tho for the short time it lasted. a long way to go for a 25 km bike ride. my legs are still sore, but managed a 35 mins hard ride on the trainer while baby slept. feel good now.
