well that was a pretty horrible event..... Map was poos, seemed a bit contradictory having 1:5000 with 5m contour intervals so hardly any detail, except then there was the odd tiny little contour feature shown, so was really random and confusing. Vege wasn't great either, so the end result was some pretty bingo controls, also got a bit repetitive. And I missed the memo about needing full body cover and orienteering shoes, so was slipping around a fair bit and got cut to shreds, fun! Stuffed up a couple of controls on the hillside above the finish mainly due to the shit map, otherwise was fine, never got that much of a chance for some decent fast running. Better ways to spend an evening tbh.

nice evening run, legs felt a bit heavy and slow. did another 3 strava segments and got course records on them all, including one quite competitive one so was happy with that haha. Ended up being a reasonable distance run too.

run with rae. Ponsonby, waterfront, parnell, domain, vic park, ponsonby. Easy pace but legs were a bit tired so was nice to go slow.
