Hike 8:00:00 [1] 10.0 mi (48:00 / mi)
shoes: MudRock IV

Nice hike in Pecos National Wilderness, to Lake Stewart. Altitude >10,000 slowed our group down quite a bit, and it was pitch dark by the time we got back to the trailhead. Not a very physical workout, but good practice just being on my feet for several hours.

shoes: Inov-8 Roclte

A decent run on Steve Barnhart's brown course at Grant Park. An early decision to cut through a (mapped) short patch of green didn't go well (seemed much longer than mapped), and convinced me to take longer more open route choices for most of the rest of the course. I didn't make any terrible mistakes, but probably took some sub-optimal routes. I also feel pretty confident that a large proportion of my (non route-related) mistakes were due to mapping issues, and not my own errors.
