Running 1:28:42 [3] 11.79 mi (7:31 / mi)
shoes: Innov-8 X talon 190

Out Rivelin and back Endcliffe.
Ennerdale is 3 times that (+hills) – oh dear! Seriously wondering whether it’s worthwhile toeing the line, I’m realistically of no help to the team at the moment.

Wednesday May 7, 2014 #

Running 1:17:57 [3] 8.0 mi (9:45 / mi)
shoes: Innov 8 X Talon 212-6

Run from Grindleford before the Dark Peak AGM, with Neil and David and Mike for most. Tough running in the wind on White Edge. Nice to be out ont moor after work. Due to the plethora of new FRA safety rules the AGM wasn’t as farcical as normal.

Running 28:00 [3] 3.6 mi (7:47 / mi)
shoes: Innov 8 X Talon 212-6

Marshalling at the Burbage skyline, tempted to race but Wil was organising so wanted to help out. Run from our marshal point round the bottom part of the route. Quads still tender.

Monday May 5, 2014 #

Running 56:00 [3] 5.87 mi (9:32 / mi)
shoes: Innov 8 X Talon 212-6

Sportsman to Stanage pole with Hannah, Quads hurting, so decided to run hard back down to the reservoir – got them moving at least. Then along the road with Hannah, then I went along the top of Rivelin back through the 3 Merry Lads.

Sunday May 4, 2014 #

Running 17:30 [3] 2.2 mi (7:57 / mi)
shoes: ASICS DS Trainer 18

Little jog with Hannah after dropping the car off.

Saturday May 3, 2014 #

Running race 1:20:37 [5] 7.51 mi (10:44 / mi)

Coniston fell race, English Champs Counter. 65th

If you have lots of rest days you get good (better) at DIY, it doesn’t help the fell running so much. Finished back in the realms of the Dark Peak vets. Surprised myself by not in any way being disappointed though, I actually quite enjoyed plodding round and cheering people on. Came down through the quarries though which I thought was a crap route, lots of people passed me by skirting round to the right.

Running 40:00 [3] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Warm up and down
