SYXC League Race 2 - 2nd

Making my debut to the XC scene this year. Quick start but it settled around the first corner. Sommerville made a gap on me and Connor on the first hill and I let him go knowing he'd died at the end of the two sessions I've run with him this year. Moved through the first lap easily and took the next steady as well making a big gap on Connor but Sam had got further ahead as well. Started the last lap with a big task on my hands. Tried to push on the hill which gave me a bit of hope as I saw Sam at the top but when I got on top of the hill the gap had shrunk only slightly. Pushed right to the end but Sam remained strong, in hindsight I should of tried to go with him but I was too cautious about dieing at the end. Mid 33 10km on a XC course isn't too bad so at least the shape is heading in the right direction. National Relays next week, looking forward to it!
