I thought the purpose of having the op on Thursday was so you could have Thurs/Fri as SL or at worst TIL. That was silly of me!

Thursday was set as that was the only day they do surgery. Delayed it for weeks and weeks with ongoing work issues and just couldn't put it off any longer as was so sick of walking / running on it.
In terms of work Thursday was Time in Lieu with the "option" of extending it to Friday. Doctor told me that I wouldn't be able to walk but it wasn't that bad.
However with the continuing ongoing problems at work .... and since I felt I could drive .... I decided to work and by spending some time in office managed to get some very critical computer related changes done which we had not managed to achieve in the last 14 weeks.
The saga continues and going back again on shift soon.
As you may have gathered I can't sit still and a day of daytime TV at home would have been an ordeal. This 2 day weekend was dull enough!
