Running 1:11:51 [2] 13.15 km (5:28 / km) +110m 5:15 / km

Some muddy High Park action with Joakim...tried to stick to the trails/terrain.

This 235 slept on the job again - missed a southern loop from the maintenance facility.

Pissing. Windy. Drenched.

Glad I got out though!!

Running 41:15 [2] 8.71 km (4:44 / km) +40m 4:38 / km

Old Reliable through the bottom end of High Park to the Queensway. Queensway east to just past the shit plant, along some muddy trails then into the lost neighbourhood that is Park Lawn/Berry Road. Bumped around a bit in there checking fences/accessibility. Pee break at the rec centre/tennis bubble/skating rink.

Running 55:46 [1] 10.27 km (5:26 / km) +64m 5:16 / km

North into Park Lawn Cemetery, up to Bloor...found a trail dipping down into Kings Mill Park in behind one of the 1950’s rental apartment units along Bloor. Bumped around a couple trails adjacent to the Humber for a bit. North to Old Mill, back up a stairwell to Bloor near the subway...across the Humber, then back down under the viaduct for a peek.

East to Bloor West Village but through the green P lots and mini parks over to Runnymede. Explored the grounds of Western Tech and Humberside for a bit. Humberside to Dundas. Bridge over tracks back to the hood.

Running 52:00 [1] 10.07 km (5:10 / km) +35m 5:04 / km

Down to Parkdale to meet Joakim.

Ontario Place is now inaccessible and protected by security (effers!!) - it was only a matter of time

Veered north along the Garrison Creek floodplain to Christie Pits.

Bloor back to Sterling.

Espressos at Drake Commissary.

Looks like we found a 3rd for Raid The Rib...

Running 1:49:26 [2] 21.77 km (5:02 / km) +206m 4:48 / km

Another fun run with Piller - this time around my ends. Included were transverses of Swansea and High Park North.

Don’t understand why the first 7-8 km was calculated, but the GPS track was omitted - this 235 has some odd tracking glitches every now and then.

Trail running 1:41:41 [2] 18.23 km (5:35 / km) +113m 5:25 / km

From the Piller’s near Rocky Ridge, in and and around HAFTA...south to the falls, back north along the single track that runs parallel to 6th line.

Forgot how spectacular Hilton is.

Stunning conditions. Like running on pumice. Just fantastic.

Squadding up for Raid the Rib.

Looking forward to giving it a good go!

Note

So Thanh completely blindsided me with a surprise extended weekend in Iceland for my 40th birthday. :) Just amazing.

I was expecting a private room Koreatown karaoke night on Saturday...(which I was pumped for!!!) ...but instead our bags were packed when I got home from work.

My in-laws were taking care of the kids, and she sorted out Monday/Tuesday coverage for my business too!!

So karaoke ended up being in Reykjavík. I intensely and passionately butchered ‘Come Undone’ by Duran Duran to a one man standing-O. Ha!!

Cringeworthy. But ok. I went for it.

EDIT: ...it was terrible. Terribly cringeworthy.

‘House of Cards’ by Radiohead and ‘Enjoy The Silence’ by Depeche Mode were also belted a couple nights later...

Fun fun.
