Orienteering race 1:12:28 [5] 11.35 km (6:23 / km) +550m 5:08 / km
shoes: inov8 oroc 280 #2

A little off the pace for this race... basically keeping it clean (well, for my standards!) a few smaller misses here and there and sometimes choosing the wrong routes but yeah most of the course was pretty good! Cant have lost more than a couple of minutes overall though! Caught Tam about of a third of the way around and then never saw anyone else on the course... Hit the wall pretty hard for the last few kilometres where I think I lost most of my time!

All things considered, pretty pleased with this run :) More analysis will be done when the results go up...

3rd again behind Sasha and Aidan so good run!

Event: Twin Peak

Orienteering race 23:58 [5] 4.22 km (5:41 / km) +205m 4:34 / km
shoes: inov8 x-talon 212 #2

Started slowly because I rushed into the course knowing that every second counted (so short!!). This meant I had no initial plan to #1 and was therefore pretty slow to it! Good around the next few spiking them, if running a little slower than usual to make sure I found them! Completely mucked the long leg by just over a minute from a good route-choice but a pretty poor execution ending up at the bottom of the hill when the control was a lot higher! Rest of the course was fine :)

Drew with Sasha and 3rd so I'll take that!

Session 6x500m - walk 200m break

Times:
80, 80, 81, 83, 79, 78,

The times were varied due to the varying degrees of insanely strong wind... And the varying of who took the first 300m between me and Cammy! I took the first, third and fifth.

Felt good so yeah good stuff

Running 37:45 [3] 6.9 km (5:28 / km) +395m 4:15 / km
shoes: inov8 oroc 280 #2

Arthur's seat run. Started at top roundabout, straight up to the top, back down to dunsapie loch, around the queens drive down the hill, then straight up again to the top before running down into the bog and back to the top roundabout via the saddle.

Good fun, lovely amount of climb, with Fred as part of his hill running international debut prep.

All aspects of this run were either straight up or down!
