Canberra 100k relay. I ran last leg in team of Andy, Tim C, Candyman and then me. Was a bit training weary so plan was solid and have something left to push home a-la marathon. Leg turned out pretty tough starting at Dickson College and long haul from there to top of Majura. I knew I'd started in 2nd about 40mins behind leading team of guns (Marty Dent, RobWalt, Philo Saunders on my leg) so wasnt fussed about catching them. At top of Majura there was an out (up!) and back section which meant I also knew I was at least 11mins ahead of 3rd so run turned out to be a solo effort.

DOwnhill of Majura was fine although got progressively more concerned as headed down into Campbell Park and realised Ainslie climb was from practically the airport. Did get to run with someone when a shirtless Tom Landon-SMith burst out of the bush in Campbell Park and ran beside me for a while. I slowed for his jeans and boots attire and it seems he had got bored at his drinks station and gone for a wander.

Ainslie was indeed a long haul and I just slogged my way to the top and got a cheer from Liz and DoaveO up there. Sped up on way down although plenty of punters and their dogs on war memorial path making it a little tricky. Seemed to be waking up the marshalls for the rest of the way along Anzac Parade and the lake and successfully maintained 4 - 4.10min ks for this section which was goodl. Long solid run pm a cracker canberra day.
